The thread was inevitable, but the approach was in poor taste. There are other threads, including the GDT, where tonight's game and recent play can be discussed. I don't see this continuing on as constructive, nor do I think that the initial post was intended for it to result that way. We've all been here before, these skids happen every season. Let's keep our heads screwed on and try to remain civil and respectful.

I swear to god if I hear Babcock's name one more time... The same people bitching about missing Babs are the people who bitched about us sucking last year too. Babs is not the answer. We suck right now. I personally think it will come together, but you know what? Maybe it doesn't this season. Or next. Somebody's gotta be at the bottom. We've been there before. I disagree with this part. The back-to-back games every week have been a bad thing for us. Not only are we tired for the 2nd game, it also takes away the time to watch tape on the upcoming team and the time to correct mistakes in practice from the previous game. Pavel can't come back quick enough.

Were you a Babcock fan? Because to be honest we were mediocre at best that last 4 years. So if you were a fan of that then realistically speaking you, yourself were a fan of mediocrity. Just saying.

I get that instant gratification feels *amazing*, but are there people here who seriously thought this would all gel and the Wings would turn into a powerhouse after just a couple weeks? I oils like to call this a slump but it is not. This is a team that is outworked. They appear to be lost. Their passes don't connect very often. Do they even know who they're trying to pass to? In scrambles in front of the net, there is not one defenceman who can take out a player. However, in the corner, they knock a player down for a penalty.

I think it's crazy that you're laying blame for the current struggles on Blash's back. We have Datsyuk Franzen, Green, Richards, Quincey out. DD, Helm were out for a long stretch. With just that, did you expect this team to be at the top of the standings? Even without injury problems, there was going to be a transition period getting used to his of style. Also, He's juggled the lines and it does take time to develop chemistry. Sheahan's been a new role at wing for a number of game, Glendening also, we introduced Richard's and Green to the line-up (G's transition was pretty quick), Not too many of the players had played with Larkin or Pulkkinen. I think it'll just take a bit of time to get going and, of course, the return of some of the injured. We're 10 games in. I was wondering how long it would take for people to turn on Blash - this has been surprisingly quick. edit: BoS beat me to these sentiments.
