apparently if you sign a 4 mill plus contract you aren't allowed to slump or go through a bad stretch. it's not like guys like Crosby , Stammer or Toews - the 3 best players in the world - would ever go through something like this.

Miller Out With Lower Body Injury

Let's just hope Drew enjoys a swift and complete recovery. He's probably chilling out listening to a Red Hot Chili Peppers song like "Under the Bridge"

So cynical... He played very well after signing his contract, this slump is quite recent.

Miller Out With Lower Body Injury

Coincidence? No. Correlation is the correct answer. ...but hey, he's just an over the hill worthless scrub, right? Oh... and this. Drew Miller has led NHL forwards in blocked shots past two seasons http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2016/01/red_wings_gameday_drew_miller.html#incart_river_index

Miller Out With Lower Body Injury

http://kuklaskorner.com/tmr/comments/surgery-for-drew-miller?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook bad news. I am very sad for our Drew. What a miserable season for one of my very favorite Wings. Get better soon...

I was trying to quantify the difference in 910 save % vs. 930. At 33 shots per game, it's 30 games to 1000 shots. 20 more goals against for Howard than Mrazek in a 30 game span. That tells the tale of the 10 points in the standings between us finishing 4th or 8th in the conference. This team can just not afford to play Howard anymore.

And Anthony mantha scored again Martin frk got another 2 goals as well, kid was on the verge of probably being let go at the end of this season (thank god he didn't wait till next season to play like this) I was also surprised to see frk on the ice to get the open net goal, guess the coach trusts him to be on the ice in the last minute

I agree with this, but you gotta give it to Kopitar as well. He's a really good player and made a great play. Most players don't do what he did there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It was two games, both perfect, and both against a pretty good PP...

Miller Out With Lower Body Injury

Coincidence that the one game Miller was back, the PK was perfect?

    Goalie Battle

I think this is the only legit way to settle the goalie battle

Yeah, he just slid a bit too fast. his stick is in good position to take away the pass until the last second then open up the lane. Larkin should have been back covering and the timing would have worked out. Anyway, the next play in the NHL.com highlights Green does a good job covering a 3-on-1 so he learned from the mistake, took away the passes and let Howie play the shooter.

Hey. If the league and refs are constantly conspiring against us, why is the turnabout not fair play? Also, you're not cheating the cap unless you get caught cheating the cap.

I always enjoy a good conspiracy theory, but if anyone is going to be out for a month so we can have cap relief, it wouldn't be our best penalty killer.

Tangradi is an average skater in an organization that wants great skaters. Seems like they forgot about Homer..... he plays the same type of game. Most of his goals have come from 15 ft or closer to the net on rebounds and deflects. Something the RW's need badly!

    America's Team?

That guy in the picture appears to be a right handed shot. Any chance we can sign him?

I've only been to the Joe twice in my life, had seats in the upper bowl both times and loved it. There really isn't a bad seat in that arena and the atmosphere is electric. The fans are really into it. As someone who went from watching games at the Civic Arena to Consol Energy Center, I can tell you that while the new arena is all new, clean and modern it can't hold a candle to the old barn. History, tradition and experience can't be replaced. I will seriously shed a tear when they tear it down, so enjoy it while you can.

I fully support Mrazek as the starter being best for the team going forward, but a part of me really feels for Jimmy. I hope he does get an opportunity elsewhere because he is a good goalie that just fell victim to the circumstance of Mrazek blossoming into something special now. Jimmy has always represented the Red Wings well and seems like a class act. Whatever happens, I'll always be a fan.

Mrazek is the real deal and we are soooooo lucky we drafted him.
