    Danny D - K to the ser !!!

2 on 1. Though if it was Howard I'm fairly confident someone would've called it soft or that he didn't bail the team out, and I'm definitely no Howard fan at this point. No, Tatar did.

Posted on Channel 7's (WXYZ Detroit) site and Facebook page. Is anyone besides me shocked? In not-so-shocking news, McCarty is also scheduled to play.

Just the way he winds up to make the shot looks beautiful. That proves that you have to shoot to score. I didn't notice the whining I'll re - re-rewind and check it well... I think that's just his celly. at least that's as far as my feed goes. Yay I got to use celly for the first time haha

Absolute bullet. But why was he whining after he scored lol

Definitely looked awesome. Not sure what happened with the goalie there, but it was a sweet shot.

Holy s***, the hockey gods were tending the Wings' net on that one. Wide freakin' open and no twine. A sacrifice will be made in thanks. Wings really, really need to work on backchecking. NY is setting up camp in the offensive zone. Way too much time spent in our end.

Yep, Fisch was going to be truly amazing before he had to stop playing, I am very happy he's alive and well, but sure do miss that promise. I miss Lilja, too

E is the Fischer v.2 that never happened. Similar size, but not the skills.

Oh boy, more awful officiating. Ericcson hooked before the goal by Tavares and now Green called for interference because Clutterbuck crashed the net.

Pulkinen is out isn't he? crap

I'm not too shocked. The Colorado-wings rivalry means more to Stevie than the Leafs-Wings rivalry. Showing up for that, I figured he would come to this too.

    ROY according to LGW

I think for Larkin to surpass Panarin in points would be very difficult, assuming Panarin doesn't get injured for an extended period of time. However, I do think it is very possible that Larkin could potentially narrow the gap by going on a couple good runs from now to the end of the season and/or Panarin slowing down. Of course, it could just as easily go the other way as well in Panarin's favor, or even Eichel, Domi or any other rookie... I think if Panarin were to finish the season with 70 points and Larkin finishes second with say 62, and Larkin also finishes way ahead in +/-, GWG as well as other statistical categories he could possibly walk away with the Calder. Regardless, as cool as it would be to see Larkin win the Calder, it doesn't really matter a whole lot, because like others have mentioned, we've had a ton of runner ups over the years, and they've gone on to have pretty solid careers for themselves. I think Larkin has been one of the Wings best players all season and will continue to do so for many more to come. In the end, that's what matters...

    Goalie Battle

I am not sure his trade value can get any lower can it? At least he still has time to turn his game around a bit to finish the season stronger. If he can, then maybe his value would increase a bit, but right now, it seems about as low as it has been his entire career...

A win today would make January the best month record wise for the Wings this season at 7-3-1. A 68.18 pt %. Currently it's November where they went 7-3-3 for a 65.38 pt %.

Thread updated, lines still subject to change if there are any "game time decisions". Let's get this W, i'm predicting we do the impossible and score 4 whole goals tonight for a 4-2 victory. LGW!

Completely agree with that Tatar, Sheahan, Jurco line. That's one of the few lines I've seen on this team that just has some unreal chemistry.

Kane would be an entertaining matchup

    Forward Line Combos/Discussion

I've said for a while now that the Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco line should stay intact, and they were arguably our best line again tonight. If they are not together for the foreseeable future, I will be very disappointed... I'd go with... Larkin - Datsyuk - Richards Nyquist - Zetterberg - Abdelkader Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Helm - Glendening Pulkkinen
