Kind of a request: If you can hold of on the highlight stuff until the 2nd and 3rd period, that'd be great as I will be late getting home. Dickie, I wasn't specifically talking about what Bill said in this thread, I'm talking about the constant ramblings of Bill in just about every single other thread about how Nyquist and Tatar suck, and how they need to be traded for whatever we can get... And Bill has stated several times in other threads that Frk is going to be a top line winger... wingedominance13, there is not a single other person here that is hyping Frk, other than Bill...

This is like saying the Red Wings should study the Black Hawks ability to win cups. McDavid is the Wayne Gretzky of his 10 year period. Larkin is the Steve Yzerman.

Wings need to stop making average goalies look elite.

I wonder how much of Pulkkinens success in the AHL had to do with Meile? Because he's making Frk look just as good right now. Also, while Frk is a long, long, way from an NHL player, his shot seems just as good as Pulkkinens, he's no slower (or faster), and his size alone will help him protect the puck better. I will make a bold prediction that he could we a decent third line winger and power play guy one day. Still needs a little development, but he finds spots well, shoots well, and is a decent in high traffic areas. Late bloomer no doubt, but I don't think he's a bust at all.

Larkin is due for a big game. Facing off against Panarin should be motivation enough.

I don't care if we don't have the next Crosby. We have the next Toews. And as overrated as everyone says he is, he's good enough to win Cups. McDavid is a great player and all, but wishing Larkin was more like him is splitting hairs. They've both got very nice looking careers ahead of them. Who cares if McDavid scores more so long as Larkin wins more?

I'm glad to have been a member of this board for 13 of those almost-20 years. I have such great memories of times spent and discussions had on these forums, and have been lucky enough to have made several life long friendships with other members. Thanks to Matt for creating the forums and putting in so much hard work to keep it running. Thanks to my fellow Mods for all their hard work (especially since life has tended to drag me away from here recently). And finally, thanks to all the members of the forums! You the real MVP(s)! Happy (almost) 20th, LGW! Just think, one more year and this site can buy us all a beer!

I think ericsson is alot better than anyone gives him credit for. He doesn't put up points, but he's our best d man at clearing the crease. He makes mistakes, sure, but all d men do. His are just magnified because he plays alot and he's usually out there against 1st liners who make his small mistakes into legit scoring chances. But he's much less mistake probe than most of our dmen.
