Great comeback and win! Very happy for Weiss -- I thought both him and Alfie played well tonight. The big guns are impressive as expected, but something has to give on the bottom two lines. Samuelsson needs to sit for Tatar immediately and Bertuzzi is close behind. Jimmy was steady as usual. DeKeyser is so impressive and really solidifies the defense.

Considering the 2nd line is 3 guys who before this season have never played with each other (besides team sweden for franzen and afie), im not gonna be too concerned if it takes a few games for the chemistry to get going. they have already shown flashes. this team is gonna be fun to watch this year. especially once we get helm back and tatar and gus get into the lineup.

Most of those shots weren't quality. They got beat to pucks all night. Couldn't break Carolina's trap. Got flustered by the forecheck. The Canes got fortunate bounces on their goals but were carrying play more of the game than the Wings were.

Hi, From the UK here, came across this video clip on Youtube and thought it might serve well here. Babcock played for my local team the Whitley Warriors who are based in Whitley Bay on the coast of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East of England. There is a small article on his Wiki page about his short playing/coaching career in the UK. Babcock was a trio of signing for the Warrriors along with Scott Morrison and Luc Chabot. This was at a time when Ice Hockey in the UK was gaining vast popularity. Sadly it is nowhere near as exciting as it used to be these days. I love him on the 1st line with Z and Dats cause he works his ass off. He got a goal tonight cause he went to an open area and squared up for a pass, and then buried it. He's been a man on a mission since last year.

I have no idea how Abby is getting so much hate tonight- he set up the Wings second best scoring chance and is playing on the only line to consistently get chances. There are 9 other forwards doing less tonight.

#1 Samuelsson #2 Cleary #3 Holland for signing Cleary and moving Nyquist to GR #4 Babcock for playing scrubs in place of Tatar #5 Holland again for giving Babcock scrubs to take Tatar and Nyquist's spots I'm off Quincey's back cause he turned his game around late last year and played good in the playoffs. I would let him walk after this year to make room for Sproul and Ouellet to come up, but that's just me. For now, he's serviceable.
