    Jurco Called Up

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=700641&navid=DL|NHL|home "Let's be straightforward," Babcock said. "In the cap world sometimes guys on your minor-league team don't get to play on your [NHL] team even when they're ready. Riley Sheahanis right there. Jurco is right there. Glendening is there for sure. "Sheahan has four points in six games. He's a big man and knows how to play. Jurco can flat-out skate and he knows how to play. Glendenning wears on people, he plays hard and we like him." Encouraging Babcock statements.

To think the Wings could have had 3 Team Captains in the Olympics if only Cleary had made the Canadian roster.

Now they're just trolling us. He's in Slovakia, funeral-related. It was decided before our last game that he'd be missing this one.

the biggest positive is that an "off season" for the wings = playoff bubble team. while making the playoffs isn't a given nowadays, the wings are a team that know how to get there.. and they will. i too cannot wait to watch a fully healthy detroit red wings roster.

Either discuss the article or move on, please. No need to derail the conversation making jabs at people.

Won't be easy. Wings are gonna have to play a tougher game tonight and work the corners well. I'm going so with the good luck I'll bring I'll say 3-2 Wings in a shootout

So I'm confused. This is the second thread started by the OP this morning. They're both the exact same as Bleacher Report articles. This one was written by Issac Smith http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1918199-5-bold-predictions-for-detroit-red-wings-in-2nd-half-of-2013-14-season I apologize if I'm confused but it seems that these threads are presented as if these are your original thoughts. If you're just copying and pasting someone elses writing, that's not the case.

Why is there another Fil topic? The guy is gone people get over it. Sure hes been good for 44 games. Guess what..the 44 games before that he was horrible. Which is the real Fil?

This trade just plain makes sense for all three teams involved. Nashville gets goalie upgrade while ridding themselves of a bloated bottom 6 contract. They have enough bottom 6 guys. Los Angeles gets a pick while replacing the Scrivens with Jones. (an upgrade) Edmonton gets a gritty bottom 6 guy(one of their needs) and a possible goalie upgrade for just a 3rd round pick and a UFA they weren't going to resign. Low risk high reward.

    Stadium Series: Los Angeles

The whole things turning the outdoor games and the league into a big joke. Volleyball? A KISS CONCERT? Why not bring in the elephants and lions and have a full blown circus? Maybe Sigfried n Roy are free that weekend and can come put on a show. Give Wayne Newton a call while youre at it Gary. This is the NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE. Not Billy Madison's birthday party. ******* clown shoes.

    2014 draft thoughts.

I'd like them to trade our 1st this year to a desperate team for a 1st next year. Next year we trade 2 firsts to move way up to get a 1C prospect. Its not like we need quantity at this point - we need a quality 1st line C prospect and that won't come where we draft without trading up. Alternatively, if we move a piece for another 1st at the deadline (i dunno who) we could try something like this this year potentially too. We desperately lack that 1C in the system and this is the best and least expensive way to get one.

I'm afraid this team is stuck with what they have minus a small trade until the offseason. Then this team needs a Brendan Shanahan type trade. This team needs a shakeup.

Is it sad that all I can ever think of when it comes to the NHL vs the NBA is this?
