Have people been actually saying this? I was under the impression we all realized the team as a whole sucks right now.

I’m not the biggest fan of Kindl, but he was great last game. His reward? The press box. This is the stuff that infuriates me about Babcock. Why not play Kindl and give Ericsson a break to get his head straight?

Rather than debate who is better and being reactionary, let's just roll with who wins. Right now that seems to be Mrazek.

Don't care if the game against SJ isn't over yet. 3 goals on 9 shots. The first goal he went down too soon and that is no one's fault but his. Don't care who says "but they weren't his fault" because he gave up a point against PHX in OT and it has been a consistent trend since he got back from injury. His stats are horrible. His puck handling is horrible. He can't control rebounds. He can't stop breakaways. Why is he the #1? Because of loyalty and seniority. That's it. That's all it CAN be. Petr Mrazek is an NHL goalie. He has superior stats. He is a VAST upgrade in puck handling and speed. He is aggressive and plays pretty well positionally. And he has just as many Cups as Howard has as a starter. So what's the upside in keeping him out?

And people rag on Howard for not being consistent. Back to back 3 in on 9 shots is pretty consistent.

It's my birthday and I have things to do and places to be so I did not wait for the morning skate to see if Datsyuk and Kronwall are in but let's hope for good things!

Helm is great, he's just not supposed to be a skilled scorer.

Howard has been awful, so has the team. It doesn't have to be one or the other bud.

of course ultimately the person to blame is Babcock. He keeps playing Howard and he has some f***ed up line combos. I know the last two we've had more injuries than before, but even before that he baffles me...jurco is not a checker, Andersson is not a scorer, Weiss needs to play. Pulkkinen is not a 4th liner...

He has been unlucky and our DEFENSE can't play hockey at all admittedly but I would still like to see Mrazek in net. Every other coach in the NHL would have put him in

That’s definitely what happened last game in OT, you’re right. I’m not saying Howard’s the victim here, I’m saying Howard AND the team are playing un-hockey right now.

Can’t believe some of you noobs are blaming Howard when Andersson From The Crypt was entirely to blame for the third goal and Smith and Zidlicky were have a buddy picnic on the 2nd. Easier to blame the goalie then admit that the entire team is playing like soggy arse?

Ever since I was watching that game in 2008 and telling my friend how he never scores, and he did, and I told her how she would probably never see him do it again, and he did, I have loved him. Blame Howard all you want (I do plenty) but Our D blows. We have one top 4 guy & 6 solid 5,6,7 guys. Danny will be a top 4 in time but that's it.

Exactly. And any other coach would have shuffled his D pairings 10 games ago and benched Andersson before he was born.
