I have a rehearsal for a production of Grease tonight so I will miss the first period. It's my first show up in Binghamton, but the director was apparently impressed with my playing (he changed keys on three of the songs and told me when I got there and I just nailed it on the fly). The best part is the guy is involved with a LOT of theater stuff and he got me a serious in for the professional theaters in the area so it looks like I may get some pit gigs for equity productions moving forward. Here's hoping the Wings kick that much ass tonight against the Oilers (even if it would be a double digit blowout). I have a hunch that Tatar gets on track with his scoring, Larkin steps up to make a decisive statement of his intent to compete for the Calder, and Zetterberg continues to be awesome. Let's Go Wings! (And, as usual, Killer GDT graphic as usual!!!!)

I wish Iggy Pop had a giant Wings logo tattooed on his chest. That would be way more kickass. McCartney is weak...and British. Iggy Pop is the musical equivalent of a prison riot. That's the kind of guy I want representing my team. Oh, and he's from Michigan. Screw McCartney and his Pens sticker, our city's got a better class of musician.

The only thing that would have been better, is if in the middle of the last BJ's game, the light went out, music hit and Torts walked out with the announcers saying "Bahhh Godddd Its him, its him!!!"

I definitely wouldn't give up Mantha in a trade for Byfuglien, nor would it cost anything near that for a rental. But even if Byff had years on his contract at a friendly cap hit, he's not the defender I would be willing to give up a Mantha prospect for. I'm not sure if anyone has watched any of the Griffins games so far this year, but I've watched two and in both games, Mantha was our best player. He does still float from time to time, but what big bodied sniper doesn't? He looked absolutely dominant on a few shifts, and despite only having one assist in 4 games, he's had his fair share of opportunities. He hit a couple posts and got robbed on a few other chances. The points will come for Mantha, along with the rest of the team (he's tied for 3rd on the team in points with 1 through 4 games...) As for Larkin, no way he's going anywhere.

I'd never heard of him, but looked him up because of his last name. Turns out he's the son of former enforcer/punching bag, Warren Rychel. Interesting.

The McCartney story goes that back in the 70's his band, Wings had their concert in Detroit and someone gave him the sticker because it was The Wings and McCartney stuck it to his guitar because of that, unfortunately not because he was a Red Wings fan. I think the story said he didn't even know what the Red Wings were. Somewhere out there is a pic of all his back-up box guitars and they all have the Wings logo on them like its some kind of trademark now. This story could be an urban legend, but either way, its still cool to see our logo on his guitar!

If Ericsson doesnt play lights out this road trip, I'd like to see Bladh give him a little time off, as well. Smith doesn't deserve permanent relegation. Goo GDT btw!!!

Uh...he was on the 2nd line two games ago. The Jurc has clearly reached put up time, or else prospect love begins to turn to hate. I don't think Defense will be our issue this year... You can't make season altering decisions based on a 6 game conclusion. But - if you were to do that, you may consider the following: #1 - Pavel Datsyuk (a top 3 defensive center in the world) has yet to play. #2 - Dan Dekeyser (our best defensive defenceman imo) has played 1/5 games. Which creates imbalanced pairings. #3 - 2/5 games played so far, were the second game of a back to back. In those 2 games, we have allowed 7 goals.

You're selling Kronwall short. Lots of people do. He consistently posts as good, or better, seasons than all the other 1A defenders. Yet he never gets any love. He plays in every situation. Is very good on both sides of the puck. Hell, he had more powerplay points than Duncan Keith AND Drew Doughty last season. And he's an excellent penalty killer. Yet for some reason people say he's not a top guy. I don't agree.
