    Jakub Kindl waived

Good news. Hopefully a team like Edmonton will take a chance on him... Bigger question now is, who gets scratched? I'm hoping Ericsson, but I'm not sure if Blash will do it. Although, I really didn't expect this today, so who knows... I'm hoping to see something like... DeKeyser - Green Kronwall - Marchenko Smith - Quincey Ericsson

    Jakub Kindl waived

Ha.It's common knowledge just started trying to trade him the other day when quincey was cleared, Holland just is too stupid to think a week in advance and hasn't been trying to trade kindl the last few seasons. Bahahha. Either Holland is actually ridiculously stupid, or the people who think this is the case are, that our they left the bridge they're supposed to be guarding...

Now, if Blash announced Ericsson was the healthy scratch on Monday night I'd be ecstatic.

User Actions Following Ansar Khan‏@AnsarKhanMLive Wings tried to trade Kindl for draft pick but couldn't. Teams wanted them to take back a player in return and they can't assume more salary.

The problem is that he just doesn't have enough value to trade for even for a late round pick when teams know he is going on waivers most likely. They might as well try their chances and if they don't get him oh well.

Actually, the year Suter and Parise were signed we were giving Howard, Ericsson, Tootoo, and Sammy $10.4 million combined. Weiss wasn't signed until the next year. Regardless, having those two at $7.5 per until they're 40 would've been tough enough. $10 would be even moreso, and you can't even say for sure that would have been enough. And seriously, Nyquist equivalent to Eriksson? He's barely close right now. When that trade was made Nyquist was still a prospect. 40 games played, 4 goals, 13 points. Another 2g, 5p in 18 playoff games. That and the Kronwall thing prove just how irrational you're being.

"I've been sayin' it. I've been sayin' it for ten damn years. Ain't I been sayin' it, Miguel? Yeah, I've been sayin' it." - Russel Case (Independence Day) "Mrazek, uh, finds a way" - Ian Malcom/Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) I hate to say it but damnit, I'm going to. Good Bye Howard Apologists!!!!! All last year I kept saying how they should start getting Mrazek in a position to take over the starting job soon, especially with the way Howard was struggling. And all last year I got s*** on by almost everybody. "He doesn't have any experience!" "You just like him cuz he's new and shiny. Once he starts struggling you'll be calling for McCullom!" "Blah Blah Howard Blah Blah...." NO. I liked him because he was clearly better than Howard. Better agility and quickness, better stick handling, better positioning, better mental tougness, ect... Well, I'll probably give him a pass. Everybody has a bad night or two. But Mrazek has shown that he has a short memory when it comes to that and can move on quickly. He's still young, still improving. And frankly he's just better. When you're better you have a longer leash. (Think Brett Favre. Threw a ton of interceptions. But he was an elite quarterback so you're more willing to overlook that in a way you wouldn't if it was an average quarterback. And the style of play that caused him to throw so many interceptions is what caused him to be one of the best in the game). Jimmy is still a good goalie. Probably the best backup goalie in the league. I still hope he gets out of this funk he's been in and will cheer for for him when he does play. But Mrazek seems to have taken the starting job for good. Having a goalie tandem of Mrazek/Howard is a 'good problem' to have. Whichever way Blashill splits the starts from here on out is fine with me.

There's no better current arena for hockey atmosphere than JLA. Now we just need to fix which team you're rooting for.

Kind of crazy they actually put him on waivers, but after how much praise Marchenko has received lately I kind of figured it would happen. I'm kind of surprised they couldn't get a 7th round pick for him, or a borderline bust prospect or something, but still, good stuff.

I'd take Buf long term in a heartbeat. Squeeze all his value as a defenseman out and he will still have value as a forward at the front of the net. The dude can skate, is durable, and has had no serious injuries in his career. He will be good for another 5 or 6 years.

Glenny did a good job of keeping him off the puck in the corner. So he went after Glendenning and threw some punches at him. It was pretty douchy even for him.

He was frustrated and wanted to bust midget Red Wing butt. Simple as that. Guess he flipped once the game ended.

His thing is that he's not afraid to call out players by name to the media. If players just realized that and didn't take it as an insult then it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I wonder who else may be leaving Columbus, though. Torts and Hartnell haven't gotten along this season.

    - Kronwall (34) = Jones (21) ????? also K has NTC or maybe NMC - 10 mill probably wouldn;t have landed P+S IMO, but I wouldn't want Parise for 10 mill anyway. - Your DK rebuttal also applies to P+S - Free agents are free to choose - It's not always certain GMs fault for not getting them. Sometime it's for money, sometime's it;s hometown, sometimes it organizations reputation... Not going into the coattail argument. You have no idea what goes on behind the closed doors of the organization and your claims just show a personal bias. Anyway, I know you won't change your mind. I think the team is in a great position as our strategy of building from the draft is coming to fruition. We did some placefiller deals in these transition years (Sammy, Tootoo, coliacovo, Weiss, cleary). I'm glad we didn;t trade away our draft picks or get tied up overpaying UFAs (Other than with Weiss). Good night.

Thank you very much for your tips and information. I'm really excited to go. It's one of my bucket lists to go visit one of the Original Six teams arenas, no matter the team. And I wanted to do this before the Wings move in that new arena.

As someone who has been to over 100 games at JLA and sat in just about every section in the building, I can tell you with confidence that there is not a bad seat in the house.

    Naming The New Arena Suggestion

It's not idiotic Canadian spelling, it's Center in the US and Centre pretty much in every other English speaking country. Similar to the use of imperial system vs metric, US appears to be the odd balls
