It's too bad because we all know I'm Darren Helm. Hence I am the real one overpaid.

Am I the only one who sees a pretty graph but has no clue how to read it?

Trouba and the Jets far apart on everything: http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/jets-trouba-still-cant-agree-on-money-term-but-usage-concerns-stand-out-most/ God, I'd love for him to play next to DeKeyser on the top pair and get all the PP time his heart desires.

Trouba should just tell the Jets this. Anyone friends with Trouba in real life? Plenty of Michigan folks here. Convince the guy to try to come home.

Who cares about overpayment now. Idk why ya'll are still hung up on that. Everyone has money and we're fine on cap. Mrazek and DK re-signed. The terms always piss me off to be honest. Hoping Neilsen turns out to be a beast of a replacement.

Don't know how to read it, but the blocks look very similar. Helm should be making no more than $700K. Good job kenny.

I would say wing, where he can forecheck aggressively and use his speed to cause problems. Preferably on the third line and on the penalty kill in my opinion.

Tatar - Neilsen - Vanek Zetterberg - Larkin - Abdelkader Nyquist - AA - Mantha Sheahan - Helm - Jurco Would love to see this for the forwards. Not necessarily the combos but icing the most talented players instead of 4th line plugs. I don't think this would ever happen tho.

I love it how when the Wings are doing poorly people put the blame 100% solely on Holland, but when the team wins, credit is given to others. Lets just ignore 1998 and 2002, but to not give the credit of the 2008 team to Holland is just ludicrous. Nill and Yzerman may have been there to assist him, but lets not fool ourselves into thinking they did everything while Holland just sat back. It all goes through the GM good or bad. One of the most important aspects of being a GM is the ability to know when to listen to your assistants versus when to overrule what they recommend.

Yep. Who else do we have? I expect he'll be better in his second year than his first. But if it makes you feel better you could switch the top two lines considering it doesn't make a difference which order I list them in but only how much ice time they get. It's worth noting that Datsyuk was on our "2nd line" last year and still had top line minutes. You're getting WAY too caught up with designations. Z-Neilsen-Vanek Tatar-Larkin-Abby Nyquist-AA-Mantha/Sheahan Helm-Glendening-Mantha/Sheahan Better?

I mean there are options, such as proxies and whatnot. They just aren't kosher. But more to the point, I think that here in 2016 convenient and legal options for folks to watch games regardless of whether they're in Texas, Australia, or Michigan should be available and independent of a cable or satellite subscription.

If Holland ranks dead last in trades over the last x amount of years, that tell me their are two main reasons. 1) Holland refuses to make a bad deal (think the Seguin trade). He likely turns down alot of trades, which on one hand pisses off a lot of fans, but on the other who wishes in retrospect that he pulled the trigger on the supposed Larkin/Myers deal. 2) Holland is not creative. To make trades sometimes you need to be able to get creative, maybe Holland and his team are just not good at that. Most likely answer, a combination of the 2 things above. When you have a GM who refuses to risk losing on deals AND is not creative, you rank dead last in trades.

This year vs last year: a poll

Better, although our D is skimped out. Wish there was a bit of cap to add a UFA vet like Jackmann at least. Better up front though with Nielson and Vanek(who i think will end up being a huge steal), Larkin coming off a full NHL season, hopefully see alot more of AA and Mantha however it has to be done..Kenny went a bit too wild with the chunk of cap he had signing UFA and RFA forwards..he'll figure it out though. No split games in goal, no competition for the starting job..Mrazek is the guy going forward, and I think he'll thrive knowing that and hopefully Howard improves in a backup role with less pressure on him.
