Just a friendly refresher as it's early in the season. Per forum guidelines... · DON'T incite flame wars by purposely baiting ("trolling") other members into an online flame war. Members caught doing so will be disciplined appropriately. Baiting, trashing the team with no intent other than to get a rise out of others after a loss, and trolling is against forum rules. I don't want to hand out warnings tonight after it's been such a pleasant start to the season. Thanks.

I love how even when we lose 1-0 some people still blame Jimmy. OK the goal he let in might have been bad, but do you think mrazek would have gotten a shutout? so far Jimmy's numbers are far and away better than Petr. also if you have to rely on a shutout to have a chance at ot you don't deserve to win anyways

Good morning, LGW'ers! Thanks for getting the GDT started, Mikey. Expect a much better effort tonight against a most-likely surly bunch of FL Panthers. Buffalo embarrassed them last night, so I expect they won't be happy and will try to seek revenge on us. If I know that, I bet the Wings do, too. Let's give them a trick (of the hat variety!) and not a treat, like we gave Boston last night, shall we? LGRW!!

By no means did Boston dominate. Both teams played like hot garbage. All night it was: Turnover the puck, turnover the puck, turnover the puck... eventually that'll lead to a costly mistake ending with a puck in the back of the net. Unfortunately it was ours. Off night. I thought it might be a letdown game. Let's bounce back tonight.

Florida is the better team. Better goalie plays against the better team. That's why Jimmy is playing tonight. Because Boston is not as good as Florida. And Jimmy isn't as good as Petr. So, Petr is playing tomorrow. Against the better team.

1 goal in 2 games is impressive. Why wear Mrazek down so early? Only Lundquist played back to back (and I think they lost one game). Pretty much every team plays the backup on one of the back to back games. We have 2 very good goalie, we should take advantage of that.

It would help enormously if the Wings would score a goal, and not get outshot 25-15, and stop making terrible mistakes... then Jimmy letting in one goal would not seem quite so heinous. Poor guy....

It was only 1-0 because Boston played almost as bad as Detroit. I can honestly say it was the least entertaining hockey game Ive watched in a long time. It was if both teams partied and drank all day and then took and hour nap before the game and then came out to play.

Playing the last show in a run of Oliver this afternoon, but I hope to get home for the 2nd and 3rd. Hopefully the Bruins game was the wakeup call the boys needed to start playing better hockey. Too many losses against division opponents thus far. Let's Go Wings!

The organization is trying to win games, not groom goalies in back to backs. Competition is tight in the league, not to mention we have two starting goaltenders on paper and salary. It would be foolish to waste one of them when he's playing well.

It does seem that without Vanek our offence has disappeared. I also think Blashill's lines have something to do with that. Last game Z and AA did some good work together, but now I don't think they've been together at all tonight. (Actually has AA even played - haven't noticed him. Then Helm Nyquist were good with Vanek. Why not keep that line and put Larkin in Vanek's spot.

Ya but what if you get a couple Dutch guys on the team? does it become the Dutch oven?

Ya, I sure hope Detroit wins its 7th in a row, unlike Michigan's 1 in a row. Detroit will be 7-2 much like Michigan State is 7-2 the last 9 against Michigan...oh the similarities!

Vanek, and Neilsen are way better players then Pulks, Frk and Ferraro so I have no idea what your point is on that. Also Hockey at the end of the day is a business. If your boss says make the playoffs to generate more revenue, well guess what? your job is to make the playoffs. The 25 year playoff streak might not be important to you, but to the owners it might be.
