Smith and Kindl hardly seems like enough for Colorado to give up O'Reilly. And I wouldn't give up Smith, Pulkkinen, and a 2nd for Myers. Sure he's big and RH, but he's not very physical, not much of a shot blocker, and his offense has pretty much declined every year. Probably get better production from Pulkkinen on the point.

I haven't seen a goalie that out of position since NHL 12.

I usually agree with you Dickie, but I can't disagree with you more on this one. Be honest, how many Griffins games do you watch? I've watched a ton, probably 80% of them over the past few seasons and Pulkkinen is proving to be the real thing. I was skeptical of him as well, even as recent as 8 or so months ago. He has by far the best shot in the entire American League and would definitely rival some of the best shooters in the National League. He is a very under rated passer and has been above average defensively this season as well. He is a right handed shot, which as we all know, Detroit are in desperate need for. If anything, I think Pulkkinen is being severely under rated by some on here, and apparently you are one of them...

I think there's a pretty big difference between saying all players will get away with as much as they can, and saying all players will trap a guy's stick between their legs, jump straight up in the air, and fall down as if shot.

Love-hate. Good player. Wish he didn't dive, especially given the C on his sweater. I haven't noticed him doing it as much as in years past, but someone who draws as many penalties as he does definitely embellishes. And he's had some questionable hits. I don't think he's hunting knees per se but he's following through on some hits that he should've bailed on. But he's also a gutsy player who has a ton of heart. Hits hard, works hard, and can chip in some goals. Truth be told I think Kopitar should be the captain but that may just be that he's more in the mold of the Red Wings captains.

For shame. I'd be ok with trading Tatar for Myers...

I wish Bertuzzi the best. I don`t think he will get another shot in the league though. The Wings could stand to have a player like him on the roster these days. A player that is tough enough to stand up for a teammate and with the hands to score a few. Franzen could be this player if he wasn`t a *****

Hitting someone in the head and embellishing are slightly different things. I think you're being a bit too hard-line about this. Diving sucks, but it's a thing. That's why they're doing this fining system - it's gotten slightly out of control and the league wants to clamp down on it. (Granted, the same can be said of hits to the head. But, again, I'll take a dive over a shot to someone's head. Not that I condone either one, mind you.)

Unlike some places around the league who have fanbases that aren't confident in themselves and their place in hockey history, and without 50 hanging banners. they get envious and envy leads to ugly. Enjoy the cathedral and all it has to offer.
