Woah relax... Even tho Z is playing subpar his game is still 100% better than most of our forwards. Most of us are complaining about Z and comparing him to his own personal playoff standards, not the teams standards. Z is still doing better than most of the squad is. He's actually got the same amount of giveaways in this series as Datsyuk does.. Less giveaways in the season than most of our forwards including Datsyuk. Pav wearing the C, the refs would have a grand slam throwing us penalties when the dude theyre talking to cant effectively communicate in english to them. I understand you're unhappy with game 2 but dam gotta relax a bit there lol. This organization would never scratch their superstars. That's why its the Detroit Red Wings.

I've never been a fan of taunting the opposing goalie by chanting their name. It seems very "collegey" so I'd rather we don't copy Nashville or LA fans. I do like the player name chants for our own team though like Todd Bertuzzi or you got Kronwalled. Those are always fun.

Marchenko really looked lost last game. No harm no foul bringing Smith back in. We've got to do something to wake our team up, and sticking with the same old thing isn't going to hack it. I sure hope Brendan's ready. We need mistake free hockey.

Little Bert is working his ass off for a roster spot next season. So far, I love what he is bringing to the table with the Griffins. As for the Griffins, despite losing on Saturday, they took the Midwest Division and are 2nd in the conference. I believe they are 3rd overall in the AHL. This team is going to make some noise in the playoffs with Blashill behind the bench.

Can't wait to watch. The crowd is going to be insane.

I think the hangar will erupt tonight in Winnipeg. That place will absolutely go nuts it's been almost 20 years since they've had playoff hockey there and if the Jets are scoring first the roof might not hold up.

There's a lot of harm bringing Smith back in, potentially. Turnovers are already a problem. And his pinching could really hurt us. I would rather they had called up Oullette.

Well this has been a tremendously satisfying series. Try as they might, the Sens just can't seem to get past the unavoidable fact that eventually they were going to have to play actual hockey games against Montreal. And in an actual hockey game, with real players, in the real playoffs...Ottawa was just completely, absolutely, 100%, outclassed. Maybe next time they should make some adjustments after the first loss? Switch up the game plan? Identify weaknesses and mismatches? Well, that or spend all our time threatening injuries to the other team and deftly using Chris Neil (Lol.) as a decoy. That's Canadian hockey for you.

Yeah changes his best pairing just when they finally started to gel. I was incredulous when I saw that. If I'm him I am reuniting my top pair from last year Smith and Kronwall and playing 65-27, and letting 52 drag down 28.

More like a parody

I second this. Of my favorite teams, this was the best series I experienced. 2 weeks of stress which finished with a Wings 7-0 win. We won the rivarly against the Avs, and I was thrilled! I'll never forget jumping around the living room Game 7 screaming after every goal! I think it's safe to say, I'll never experience a better series, it had it all.

I think Datsyuk and Zetterberg should get split up to try and get things going more offensively all around. Detroit needs more than one scoring line, and the 'kid' line isn't one right now. Nyquist and Tatar on a line isn't working. Tatar - Datsyuk - Helm Abdelkader - Zetterberg - Nyquist Jurco - Sheahan - Weiss Miller - Glendening - Ferraro Edit: Also, I wouldn't cry if Weiss sat... even if it is for Cleary. I honestly think Cleary could have been more effective than Weiss has been thus far. I might also be in favor of Smith coming back in as a change of pace on the back end as well...

I don't think he was good and regressed so much as he seemed decent and people projected an improvement in his play that was unrealistic for a converted forward picked last overall in the draft. If the Wings had a decent blueline, Ericsson would not be on the top pair and he'd look much better. He should probably be a #4 guy who also plays on the PK. But he has great size and actually uses it, not as much as I like but he's our most physical defenseman. He's one of the few guys who can actually clear the crease. Generally he has a good first pass, especially for a defensive d-man, though this year his decision making some games has been suspect. He hasn't been a stabilizing force for the defense like you'd like him to be, but I wouldn't put him at the top of the list of the Wings defensive problems.

Rafalski was about as bad at playing defence as any current Wing. He was slow and soft and led the team in turnovers by D-men all four seasons he was here.

He was never meant to be a top pairing guy. Just like Helm or Sheahan aren't meant to be top 6 forwards. Further evidence of this team's overall lack of talent.

Meh... The "drug war" is absurd anyway. Unless he was on blow while playing, who really cares what he does in his spare time. Nobody is complaining about the millions of people in this country that are high on caffeine at any given moment. Same thing as cocaine, basically, aside from legality...
