Announcers: "Wings are 6-0 and Leafs 3-5 which means nothing" Me: Yes it does! Leafs suck! Need to be more offensive.

@Krsmith -- I know Cleary hasn't been that terrible, but I think we're at a point where this team is going to have to make really tough decisions about the roster and specifically at forward. Cleary v Andersson really shouldn't be that difficult of a decision. Andersson is ten years younger than Cleary and $135,000 cheaper. As the 14th forward and barring serious team injury issues, a healthy scratch. I don't need to be wowed, impressed, or even think that one is better than the other. I need servicable. Andersson is that. Keeping Larkin up makes sense because he's waiver exempt, can slot into the top nine, and can easily be sent down when Helm or Datsyuk come back. You've already got Miller, Glendening, and Ferraro that can handle fourth line duties. When both Helm and Datsyuk are healthy, whomever was kept (Andersson or Cleary) is likely to be exposed to waivers anyway. ...and then we're back to a fully healthy roster situation. Who sits?

I can already anticipate the meltdown if Cleary stays and Larkin goes down. Just to prepare people, if that happens, it is NOT because Cleary "took" Larkin's roster spot. It's because they didn't think Larkin was ready for a top 3 line role and didn't want him playing 10 minutes on the fourth line and/or being the 13/14 forward. Cleary, on the other hand, is perfectly-suited to that role. The two of them are not in competition for the same roster spot.

You know what? f*** it, I like it. Larkin showed this preseason that MAYBE, just maybe, he's NHL ready. Slap him in the top six until Dats gets back. YOLO

I don't know. Miele looked flashy, but it never amounted to anything. I definitely noticed him out there, but it was a lot more of him trying to something impressive and it not working out, like trying to deke around a defender or something.

Awesome! Good job Evgeny. So far, in 3 games for Cape Breton, Svech has 3 goals and 3 assists, with a +4 rating and 51.8% on draws.

Having two solid goalies is only a bad thing if you hate one of them and hope they fail so you can "be right" about them on hockey forums and message baords.
