We seemed to be outplaying them but not showing it on the scoreboard. C'mon ... let's pick up 2 pts here.

Way to represent the Wings! Petr Mrazek has crashed Braden Holtby’s Vezina party https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/petr-mrazek-has-crashed-braden-holtby-s-vezina-party-190440841.html At one point this season, quite recently, the Vezina Trophy race was a sprint to a coronation: Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals goaltender and pupil of that Netminding Yoda Mitch Korn, had the trophy in the bag. He had the NHL lead in wins. As he did for goals-against average. As he did for save percentage. As for Feb. 12, he still holds onto one of those leads: Wins, with 35, four more than Corey Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks. That’s 14 more wins than Petr Mrazek of the Detroit Red Wings – Holtby has started 44 games, Mrazek has 34 – but hey would you look at that: The Red Wings goalie leads the NHL in save percentage (.934) and GAA (1.94) heading into Friday night’s game hosting the Colorado Avalanche.*

What a hit on Abby to end the period. Notice there's no stupidity for a clean hit.

I'll take that point but the game should be over by now. With a Red Wings win.

Price out for the year in MTL

He never said Howard was at the same level as Price, I don't think anyone would. What he said was that Howard went through something similar which he did. People forget that 1 year ago Howard's stat's were right up there with the other elite goalies of the NHL, and was involved in Vezina talk.

We really need to win this one. Sunday's game is at 3:30PM EST and to make it worse, it's NBC. Monday's game is at 1PM EST/NOON??? So, back to back day games, plus the Curse of Pee-air. Tall order. I know no one with the day off on Monday, I will be at work needless to say, so thanks to Bettman I will miss the first Wings game this season. Noon????? really?????

I really miss the old rivalry, where the NHL wasn't so pussified like it is now.

Ansar Khan ‏@AnsarKhanMLive 1m1 minute ago DeKeyser staking. Mrazek in the starter's net. Green skating like he's ready, paired with Smith. Some unexpected good news... I didn't think Mike would be ready... We'll see after the skate if he's playing tonight

He had a quality shot but is not really a scorer. His numbers on the season are befitting of a lower line player. Playing with Seguin and Benn should increase a player's totals, though. This is one where I'm not going to criticize Holland for letting him go. Guy was replaceable and always hurt.
