He's one of the reasons why I really wanted Holland to "replace" Lidstrom and/or Rafalski. Put Kronwall with, say, Brent Burns and you've got a legit top pairing. I do feel like Kronwall got kinda shafted in that sense; he stepped into the 1D roll on a blue line with no depth and management basically told him -- every year -- that 1) he was on his own and 2) it's playoffs or bust. Raw deal, but he never complained to the media, never pouted. He went to work, did his job, and led. Like a boss.

"You got Kronwalled" was one of the better arena chants

Again, I have a really hard time seeing Yzerman having any real interest in Puljujarvi. Holland, as Red Wings GM, might've kicked those tires. But Yzerman? Nah. Yzerman wants hard-working troops with good attitudes -- "young Yzermans," if you will. Say what you want about Svechnikov but I've never caught a whiff of bad vibes coming from him; he's been a good soldier, he's fought through some s*** luck, he deserves the extended Red Wings audition that he's been working towards. Puljujarvi? He's chosen to take the pout path. Let someone else take on that baggage.

Seems flimsy. Puljujarvi sucks. First, see what you have in Svech. He might be really valuable as a digger for a guy like AA or Zadina down the road (the way Bert is for Mantha and Larkin). If so, don't trade him because you need those guys to retrieve the pucks for the skill guys. But if you're dead set on trading him for a righty, trade him for a GOOD righty. Again, Puljujarvi sucks.

    Prospect Tournament 2019

Yes, I´m from Germany. Without his injury(23 games) he might have been on the second pairing for half of the season plus playoffs in Mannheim. He started right where he left before the injury and his game picked up the more important the games became and was almost mistake free in the playoffs and the WC. He had his 18th birthday the day before game 3 of the semifinals in the DEL. He is praised by his teammates for his work ethic and positiv attitude. Although I´m a bit biased I truly believe he could play a third line role in Detroit, but I don´t think that it would be good for his development. He needs to play in all situations, logging heavy minutes, so I see him at least on the second pairing in GR. I´ve seen a lot of d-men playing for Detroit over the last 25 years, but only a few had that implicitness/naturalness ( I´m looking for the right word...) in their game as he has. With his smooth skating and his awareness what´s going on around him, he looks more than ready for men´s hockey. My prediction/hope is he is playing on the first unit in GR at midseason the latest and will have a chance to get the first taste of NHL hockey after the TDL.

Agree, I happened to be lucky enough to be at a few when games when someone got Kronwalled. I wish the Wings had more chants. I was also lucky to be at the Joe when the first time the TODD-BER-TU-ZZI chant happen. Loved it, we need more of this badly. We don't have to go full Nashville, but it's been lacking over the years to say the least.

    Prospect Tournament 2019

Bergmann stayed in Germany taking part in Mannheims preseason, as Seider did. Seider opted to go over early and get accustomed to time change, new surroundings and new teammates, whereas Bergmann had the complete preseason and 2 Games for Mannheim in the CHL (2g1a) and heads to SJ today I think.

That GDT ‘Inglorious Babcocks’ still makes me giggle. For such a crude remark I should send you a bottle of 16 yr Lagavulin

I'm touched anyone even remembers me around these parts. I still lurk from time to time here and on HFboards and Reddit but my posting slowed down when the fan base became insufferably negative for me. Maybe I'll surprise everyone with some new photoshops this upcoming season.

Nice vid, but how can they make an all time Kronwalling video with the Voracek hit? It was better than almost every one of these.
