Because he has no good explanation. One "rebound" season for Jimmy numbers wise where he started TWENTY SIX games, and Coreau getting lit up in most of the games he played after his call up, and Mrazek is expendable? LOLLLL!! Maybe he has a plan in place with Vegas, but I don't see what that plan is. The only protection option in goal that makes any sense from an asset standpoint is Mrazek. I fully expected him to be on the protected list. I think 97% of anyone with any hockey knowledge did by the press and fan reactions. Holland saves himself Jimmy ******* Howard. The goalie he tried to trade a year ago, and no one wanted, because of his play in minimal games, and the World's. Who cares about the World's? It looks like you're basing your picks too much on size. We need skill with our 9th overall pick. If you've read anything I've written in this thread, you'd know I'm totally fine with taking centers or defensemen, because both are massive needs now and in the future. My picks based on who I think could potentially be available at 9 are Glass, Tippett, Liljegren, Makar. There are quite a few others I'd be okay with as well, but if we take Rasmussen or Vesalainen at 9 I'd be pretty disappointed...

Saw on twitter that Mueller was the player San Jose picked when the wings traded down to pick Mantha and Bertuzzi. Looking like a good decision now.

I can see us losing Mrazek for nothing and have Howard get hurt for a long stretch in probaly the 15th game of the season. Then they'll be stuck with Coreau in net with an unknown back-up. Probably lock in the best odds to get the first pick next year

This is a real shame, as I was hoping that we could shed about 4m in the expansion draft and then trading 10-15m by trading away bad contracts. Howard wouldve been a big chunk of that if we could have convinced Calgary to take him off our hands. Oh well, as long as we draft Tippet and Hague, ill be happy.

Saying a junior league is better is like saying the current college football champ could beat an NFL team. Outside of a player or three, none of the kids will ever be as good as the professional players. Yes, CHL players tend to put up more points, but that's because of the styles of the leagues. The average CHL goalie isn't as good as the average SHL goalie, the defensemen make more mistakes because they're still learning, and the game is more focused of shooting.
