Good, I never wanted Hughes or Kakko anyways. They suck. Whoever we pick at #6 is who I really wanted.

I was at a meet and greet media event in Toronto last night. TSN radio personalities were there talking Leafs and Raptors playoffs. One of the guys there from TSN, was Jamie McLennan. Since I'm a smart aleck, and old enough to not be star struck, I told McLennan I'm a Red Wings fan, and said I remember when he two hand slashed Franzen in the 2007 Playoffs. Jamie laughed and said, "Franzen went down easy, and he resurrected the next day to score the series winning goal in over time". We made more small talk about that series, and I got a picture with him. Jamie's wife, Steff, is one of the producers of the radio show he's on. She was there too and I told her the same thing, I'm a Wings fan and remember when Jamie slashed Franzen. Steff laughed and said, "Yeah Jamie will never live that down". Walking out at the end of the night, I saw Steff again. I told her I got a picture with Jamie, enjoyed meeting him, so all is forgiven. Again she laughed. She added, their sources are saying Yzerman becoming the next GM of the Red Wings, is pretty much a done deal. Oh, I'll add Jeff O'Neill was there too, but he was kind of a jerk. I said to him, how great a team the 2001-02 Hurricanes were, and how nervous I was playing them in the Final. He just kind of looked at me, and brushed me off. Whatever Jeff.

We gotta keep in mind that GM's/scouts/front office are going over these prospects with a fine tooth comb...Interviews, and physicals lie ahead in which some of the top 20 could jump ahead on some teams radar, and others go completely off it (like I mentioned in another thread - Holland, and Co are really big into maturity/leadership - that right there might knock a few outta the top 10 for them). I'm just hoping there's quality milfs in the audience...Hopefully the AC will go down in the American Airlines Arena, and they'll be scantily clad

Why would NHL owners rig a lottery against themselves? Or did you think Gary Bettman was like the NHL dictator? Also, it's not "closed door". Every NHL team has a representative in the room during the lottery. Maybe look into these things?

I hate that they don't even show us the actual lottery selection either. Room for all kinds of Buttman greasiness. 9.5% chance the Wings win 1st overall, and a 90.5% chance this thing is rigged

Good stuff my guy About the Yzerman news, Kyle Kos told me the same thing. GM Stevie has been a done deal all season. Also Brian Lawton was on NHL tonight last night joking about Stevie being GM already

It didn't / doesn't... We could have lost two more games (one in OT), and picked 1st overall. If only we knew that was the magic number... We could have lost three more and picked 5th overall. OR We could have won two more games and picked 2nd overall. There was no way to know how the lottery would play out. Which is why I wasn't throwing a tantrum after every win (or loss)... We will get a very good player at 6. Why trade back to pick up a goaltender that is projected to go in the mid - late first round?

If we'd won two more games, we'd have Kakko.

Draft was rigged for the big American cities. The 1985 NBA draft was more legitimate than this.
