Never. Hell I still blame Boyd Devereaux for most of my troubles.

Can we please try to keep at least some of these threads not about Mike Babcock? Thanks.

Is it too early to start blaming Blash for our troubles?

Very Surprising! lol 3 year deal it looks like according to MLive The Blash Era has begun! Let's Go! http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2015/06/detroit_red_wings_will_announc.html

I'm really not trying to turn this into an Osgood debate, but it looks like it's already heading that way. Using the fact that Osgood "took advantage of all-star teams" against him completely ignores the fact that guys like Fuhr, Sawchuk, Plante, and Smith ALL played for dynasty teams as well. I don't see anybody arguing that Grant Fuhr's banner should be pulled down because he played with Messier and Gretzky.

It's only 1 game I never would have guessed the wings Tampa series going 7 after they steamrolled the wings 5-1 in game 2.

lest we forget the horrible teams Roy and Brodeur played for...those teams were just as good if not slightly better than us during that era. I believe they both need to be up in the rafters.

If we were able to finish off the Hawks in 2013 this 'dynasty' of theirs would be dramatically different

Edzo already calling interferences on other team. That was an amazing goal

Yeah, because Mike Babcock loves those three guys. Might as well thrown Kindl in there too. That'll really sweeten the pot. Any potential trade for Phaneuf went right out the window the second Babs went to Toronto.

It's tough... but it seems that since Detroit has a good amount of numbers retired, that the standard for number retirement is much higher. If a player wants his number retired in Detroit, he can't provide a reason for it not to be...and Fedorov arguably did that by leaving when and how he did.

I'm fine with that. Less Blackhawks fans for the future.

    Free agents this off season

New coach and potential new roles for Jurco/Weiss + Pullkinnen in the line up means that signing a UFA this year would just crowd the roster and offer very little.

    The return of The Mule?

That's why I have no opinions on the civil war.

Still only 22 and was used more as a checker ... Still think he can at least get around 20 goals To soon to give up on jurco ... I think Blashill will get him going again

Mike Babcock is a better NHL coach today than Jeff Blashill. But today, Jeff Blashill might be a better coach for the Detroit Red Wings. The following players listed in Bold are players Jeff Blashill developed in Grand Rapids or at Western Michigan before they played in the NHL. TATAR - DATSYUK - HELM NYQUIST - ZETTERBERG - ABDELKADER JURCO - SHEAHAN - PULKINNEN MILLER- GLENDENNING - FERRARO KRONWALL - ERICSSON DEKEYSER - QUINCEY SMITH - MARCHENKO MRAZEK Here's the important part: Every single name on that list (besides Pulkinnen) came to the NHL and made an impact immediately. This isn't a fluke, or a system that condones itself to certain players - this is the result of a head coach who had the ability to make players better, and develop them into NHL caliber players. If you have the time, take a look at what Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Jurco, and Riley Sheahan did last year immediately following their promotions from the Grand Rapids Griffins. All of them averaged a significantly higher point per game average then, as opposed to this year playing only for Mike Babcock. I don't know if its utilization or motivation, but these players seemed to be at there best when they most recently played for Blashill - and when that wore off, Babcock didn't get the same results.

...and now those great prospects are and will soon be on HIS NHL team. Plus he will still be spoon fed great players by the best organization in pro sports.

I went camping about a month ago, and the people next to us were boring and criticized my family for our uncontrollably high buttcracks. Kidding. Ha. I HATE any alt rock band. Nickleback, three days grace, shine down, and any other band where the singer feels the need to sing with air from the depths of their anus. I also HATE country music(for the most part) new country is just racist pop music, and old country angers me. Johnny cash is not country.
