Also makes for boring hockey while the game is going on. Low scoring games with lots of passing and no checking or fighting is quite boring. That's why as a wings fan I watched eastern conference games almost as much as the wings.

I love how things look after one game: Goals leaders: Pavel and Sammy Assists leaders: Kronner and Emmy PIM leader: Zetterberg Look quickly, folks. This is a short-term situation. The only thing that might stay around for any length of time is Pavel being a goals leader. So for tonight's goals, I think we'll see Sammy, Cleary, Emmy, and Mule. Quincey's will be called back because his shirt tucked itself in... ...to the cleavage of the woman seated behind the bench. BTW, Mikey- fabulous GDT. Go Wings!

Too bad Mike Vernon didn't go into coaching. Can we hire his as a special assistant for just one game? The one when we play the Avs at the Joe?

I had no idea that six goals and twelve assists in fifty four career games earned you a solid roster spot on the Detroit f*cking Red Wings these days. It's especially interesting considering Cleary's four goals and six assists in fourteen games during LAST YEAR'S PLAYOFFS doesn't even merit a 1.75 million dollar one year contract around here. Hell, Ville Leino had nine goals and seven assists in his fifty five career Red Wings games before being sent packing. Nyquist hasn't earned anything...yet.

Typical Roy... Although, it will certainly rally his team around him as coach.

LOL Is this like the Oilers version of the stupid "participation trophy"? Everyone who is a member of the Oilers gets named an Alternate captain, so as not to hurt anyones feelings...

Glad I'm not the little women waiting for Patty to get home where he could really blow some steam off. I can't see him lasting the year. Fired, breakdown, exhaustion, suspension something will bite him.

Great to see Patty Wah back in the big show. No one blows gaskets like he can, and even though it only took one game to witness his first 'episode' it's not all that surprizing given the Ducks propensity for bush league antics.

That's our Patty Waahhh... no surprise that he's in character, trying to beat down whoever is in his cross-hairs. The Avs could use some passion, that's for sure. And Boudreau can dish it out, too. Hockey is fun, eh?

On prohockeytalk they had an article of boudreau's reaction to Roy's on bench reaction.. calling Roy's actions "Bush league." While I don't disagree.. the first comment made me laugh. "Some may argue losing 6-1 to an Avalanche team with a rookie coach, and an even less experienced team is bush league." it's gunna be an exciting season with Roy on the bench.. can't wait for the wings' first encounter!

If a coach gets into a fight in the last five minutes. Is it a suspension?JK Can't wait till we play them with Ozzy between the benches.
