Get the first goal in game 7 and they'll be fine. They showed maximum heart in game 5, they can get right back up on top. They didn't play awful tonight but Tampa did what a desperate team has to do. They got to more loose pucks than the Wings but not all. They converted chances better let's say that. Young Mr. Mrazek mist realize that when the Bolts are breaking in on him they are gonna shoot high. They are fixated going high when left open for shots. Clean that up, knock in a PP goal in game 7 and we're groovy.

Mistakes will make or break game 7, just like every other game in this series. We are plenty capable of beating Tampa, that's abundantly clear at this point. But we are also far too capable of handing them opportunities on a silver platter. If we can minimize the defensive breakdowns and terrible line changes, we'll win. Mrazek has been good even in the losses when you really break it down. We're scoring goals. But we have to stop making so many big mistakes. Tampa is too talented not to capitalize on them. Make mistakes: Lightning win. Minimize mistakes: Wings win. Simple as that.

Z carried this team for years gtfo. He should be the last one ANYONE complains about.

He was at the time one of the better right handed defenders available for cheap. He has a heavy shot from the point, he spent some time in a defensively responsible New Jersey organization and it seemed like a good fit. At the time I agreed with the move, and even though he has been weak in the playoffs, I don't really regret it even to this point. Tonight he made noticeable mistakes, and this round hasn't been a good performance from him, but we are 3-3, not out and there's time to bounce back. Sometimes the vet players work out, sometimes they don't. For what he contributed in the season up to this point in the playoffs, calling for his head is a bit hasty. Let's see how the series finishes out.

If Howard started this series, the Wings would have been swept. No reason to even bring it up, but since some people are saying it. Mrazek's puck movement has helped our atrociously undermanned defense with their breakouts. Without it, we spend at least 5 more minutes of each game in our own end. Not to mention Howard was god awful leading up to the playoffs. Mrazek has been a little inconsistent, but to identify him as a weakness (or not a very strong positive) for us is ludicrous.

Who brought up HOWARD lmao I'm just not even going to reply, Mrazek hasn't played one bad game this series, I mean game 5 is kinda on him but E and Helm + Glenny getting hurt screwed us, I think many would agree Mrazek is better than Howard and don't even put consistency and Howard in the same sentence after the past two years. If Howard starts I won't even watch the game.

Tonight we simply showed the same weaknesses the past few years. Defensive play is not the caliber needed for a deep playoff run. We have one goal from a defensemen and that was an empty netter from DK. I wish we were better equipped for a cup run but we aren't. I think we have plenty of firepower but our defense gives us very little. Most of us that watch every game know that this is the reason we have been so inconsistent. We're gonna need Mrazek to stand on his head in game 7.

That 2-0 lead in Game 4 with 5 minutes to go was a deplorable choke job that really let Tampa back in the series and now they get their Game 7 at home. What a joke. I'd put Glendening on a higher line than Zetterberg or Nyquist. Man did those guys disappear. Not even 1 goal from the captain in all these games?

Alright, got to win game 7 then. They didn't outplay us today, but maybe they outworked us, especially in the third. Bounce back and do what we did in games 3 and 5. It's not that the Wings didn't do it before. LGW !
