I suspect the coach would be fined more because he's supposed to be setting the example. We all know ref is just another word for god, and gods are infallible and cannot be questioned. I think it's BS they fine anyone for voicing an opinion. Everyone on the planet can see how well or how pitiful they are doing their job. So what, we're not supposed to talk about it?

From comments on youtube. POSTGAME INTERVIEW Interviewer: Was anything said between you two before you gave him those shots? Marchand: Nope Interviewer: Then why did you hit him? Marchand: Felt like it *37 Thumbs up (including mine)

I've been annoyed by the Wings lack of response when teams plays tough or dirty against them, but it still hasn't reached Canucks level. Until Kronwall bites someone's finger, Lidstrom gets poked with a stick and falls over like he's shot, and Datsyuk takes several punches to the face without swinging back, the Wings are not as gutless as the Nucks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEh53OWz0jU Sedin takes repeated jabs to the face, and all he does is get angry at the ref about it, as Marchand laughs at him.

I personally would rather it be at Michigan, just for the history, but calling Comerica ugly? Come on... It's one of the best ball parks in baseball...

Well if they'd hurry up and get a head coach that speaks French none of this would be happening. Glad to see they've got their priorities right in Montreal.

Loo that was so thoughtful of Fil to score for you!! You two are so cute! You're gonna have to find him next time they're in Nashville because you just might be good luck! Ok so I don't usually post pictures of myself, but I decided I would because this was the one time I actually felt pretty, then my brothers said I had too much makeup on so IDK. This was at my friend's New Years Eve party where we had a James Bond theme! I'm the brunette.

I'm pretty sure that Kopecky fought Samuelsson at practice once... There were no survivors

Vancouver is packed with divers, major league spot-pickers, and just plain s***heads. These guys, between the diving, the cheapshots, and the whining, are the prime example of what drives many fans away from the game. The NBA-like bitchfest these guys showcase on any given night is painful to watch. Daniel Sedin Henrik Sedin Ryan Kesler Alex Burrows Max Lapierre Kevin Bieksa Keith Ballard That isn't to say that the Canucks don't have some honorable, honest guys, but these guys are often overshadowed by the s***show their fellow teammates put on. Cody Hodgson Manny Malhotra Sami Salo Dale Weise As far as being "tough", we as Wings fans can't say a lot, but Vancouver Is definitely not amongst the league's "toughest" squads. I'd contest that Boston, Dallas, the Rangers, St. Louis, Chicago, and Pittsburgh would run them out of the rink physically. They're gifted offensively, no doubt, but Henrik Sedin's comments are great comedy.

Well I know we shouldn't judge too much in this area but I can't get the image of Marchand using a Sedin as a punching bag out of my head.

At least he didn't say anything about "team toughness" or "Our powerplay is our enforcer". What are we laughing about?

Who is this anyone guy and where does he play? I understand he isn't gonna come out and say they are ballerina's but if Vancouver is tough, the Wings are Mike Tyson...

    Krys Barch.

Did you even read the original post or the link? A linesman overheard it and skated straight to the bench. To the best of my knowledge no players are crying about anything. What a tragedy that will be. It's hilarious that you make this post and your username is league integrity.

I seriously can't stop my laughter from Hudler being called gritty and dynamic. I'm going to make a thread tomorrow to praise Holmstrom for his speed and passing.

Who give a rat's ass? What players do in their private lives as long as it doesn't affect their ability to play is none of our concern.

    Hurricanes a blowing?

I'm not saying it's a realistic trade. I'm only saying when I think it'd be worth it. Isn't 800 years old. Played at a 60 point pace last season on a s***ty team. Currently about on pace with Bertuzzi while most likely not playing with Datsyuk. And while I'm not an expert on Jokinen, it'd be hard to be lazier and take more stupid penalties than Bertuzzi.

By gutless, do you mean backing down from fights and not defending yourself when someone plays tough or dirty? We've done that several times. I remember the Philly game back in 2007, or in the playoffs against the Flames that year. Same s*** with the Ducks series, where they played dirty and we didn't really fight back because we didn't have the personnel. Which examples are you alluding to with Vancouver against Boston?

Another classy guy in the Red and White. To think, Holland actually offered to let him stay and play in Detroit. One dimensional prima donna midget hockey player dumps Detroit, Girlfriend dumps Midget, Midget pays women to sleep with him. Notrhing to see here. Someone should tell little Jiri that when rich professional atheletes can usually get pretty girlfriends.

Hudler has been caught with two hookers and his girlfriend has left him. She is quoted as saying hudler is a "LOSER" http://revue.idnes.cz/krainova-se-rozesla-...issamodelky_map

I don't see the Wings making a trade for Weber because Detroit does not have the assets to make a deal. The only decent trade chip the Wings have is Brendan Smith. Jurco, Tatar, Nyquist and Pulkkinen are considered B grade prospects at best. Weber is a perennial Norris candidate, it's gonna take the entire farm for any team to get this deal done. I just don't see Holland trading away all these assets when the Wings have an aging team. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Weber in a Wings uniform, but Suter is a more viable option being that he's a UFA. But what happens then if Lidstrom decides to come back for 2012-2013? I'd see the Wings making a big push for Suter if they feel Stuart is going to leave. That's the only possible way, in my opinion.

    Jiri Hudler Appreciation Thread

How about some praise for Jiri Hudler? The guy has grown into a fantastic player for us, he's one of the most versatile players we have, managing to look good on almost any line he has played on, can play all 3 positions, and is looking like a player who can pot 20+ goals this season. JIRI ROCKS!

No Conklin unless giving up points is a good idea in a tight West that is. They need to toss Conklin and bring up Mac.
