Wings will buy out Tootoo, not Franzen.

We can buyout TooToo anytime. We don't have to waste our compliance buyout to do it. 1.9 million doesn't matter to us-we have plenty of cap space. Buy out FRANZEN!!!!!!!!!!!! He is dead weight.

I apologize, I didn't know that you could see the future, Hockey-damus. Please share more of your visions of the future of hockey! Does the NHL adopt rocket skates and cyborg goalie technology?!?!

    50 UP

Ville Leino is doing what it takes to get that #1 pick. He's the only one who really gets it. You mock him now, but one day, when the Sabres are the most dominant team in the modern era, you'll remember Ville Leino, the selfless hero who took it upon himself to turn the organization around and put it on the path to future glory. And you mocked him.

Just over five to go. How ironic that the 4th team to ever come back to win a series after trailing 3-0 feature two players from the 3rd ever team to do so in 2010, Carter and Richards.

So who are the top RHed Dmen?

LW I am on th Petry bandwagon. Him and DK would be the top pair in about a year. They both move well, handle the puck well, block shots, and have decent skill that is improving. Now 2-3 years down the road I wouldn't worry about. First all the prospects have to develop. There is 0% chance they ALL do. Also at that point Kronwall will be 36/37 and may vry well need to be replaced. Same for E. If Petry, D, and Smith are all here and playing well, that still leaves up to 4 spots open.

Didn't know where to post this, but in this article Weiss says he was battling the hernia even before game 1. This gives credence what many have said - that we haven't seen the real Weiss. http://redwings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=717174 Would be huge if he can be a big player for us next year. ...and, on the subject of older injury prone players, nobody is talking about possibly adding Gaborik. Obviously, the reticence is understandable with some of our recent experiences with signing vets. But, If we were able to sign him for a 1 year deal though, would it be a good move? If he still battles injury then it's just an excuse to bring up Mantha/Jurco (if he's sent down). Since his last injury, he's shown he's still productive: with Kings: 19GP 5-11-16 and 3G 1A in 6 playoff games so far. He's 32, only 2 years older than Moulson and Vanek, and will demand less than those two.

That video made me like ken Holland a bit more.Been a while since I seen that fire, and he lists off a bunch of kids in the ahl, and says apparently these kids are better than we thought. Love it.

Why? He signed a contract, he has stated he wants to stay the year in grand rapids. If I had an employee sign a contract possibly with a no compete clause or something of the like, and it was my say if he is allowed to negotiate elsewhere, and he/she was a valuable employee, I definitely would say no too. If he is unhappy he can tell Holland he would like to leave, but he is still under contract and until that contract is done he shouldn't be talking to other employers. Same goes with players. They can't discuss new contracts with other teams till the old one ends.

    Ken Holland Quotes (Apr 29th

This just in, Ken Holland at Meijer, doesn't like the sound of the watermelon after doing the "knock" test, will wait and see how things playout as selection isn't ripe enough or overripe, will talk to Babcock via Kik during the summer

Ownership can think of several million reasons the streak means something. People act like Holland doesn't have a boss and makes every decision based on what he wants. It doesn't work that way.

I'll just leave this here for memory's sake. Hope the Kings have a better outcome.

    Next Seasons Needs/Team Future

If you're unhappy with the product then stop buying it. No team is going to change its direction because a small group of fans wants them too.
