Hey, even if you don't like the guy, saying it's good that anyone on the team is hurt is pretty s***ty. I don't like Franzen, and i'm glad he is'nt playing, but I'm not happy he's hurt.

The key there is a 3 game stretch, where outside of those 3 games, in the 10+ he has played, he was stellar. Just look at the numbers he has been putting up since going back down. Couldn't hurt to give him a chance next game what so ever. He is on a roll right now. Regardless, can't be any worse than the goaltending this team has gotten in the past 2 games.

Mrazek is def not our savior. He's been called up because our backup goaltender is injured. We don't even know the nature of Gus injury. He could be out a week, or out for the season. The length of time Mrazek will be in Detroit will most likely depend on that. Either way, it's nice to have a good goalie with NHL experience to call up. Did'nt see the game today, but saw some highlights. Gus did'nt look too good, but the team can't be giving up shorthanded breakaways to the opposition either. Tighten up the screws.

He's 22 and it's normal he will have a few hiccups but he'll have way many better performances than bad ones ... A few of monsters goals he let in today were embarrassing Mrazek is the future ... Gus will be in Sweden in a few years

Howard is fine, Gus is an injury-prone borderline NHL backup and Mrazek is a young, talented goaltender who needs to continue to get NHL experience. Our goalie situation doesn't worry me as much as the defense.

I think the thing is they're more comfortable with Jimmy. It's like that stat that most car accidents happen close to home. Almost an auto pilot thing.

Wings are now 1-8 against the likes of Boston, Montreal, and Tampa. Potentially all three teams that the Wings will face in the first round over the next 5+ years and definitely in the first round this year.

Almost makes it worthwhile to buy a hockey team just so you could exclusively use inappropriate sponsers and plaster them on unis. I would strictly allow only sex toy shops, strip clubs, and penis enhancement companies to sponsor my hockey team.

When Smith and Kronwall were paired last season they seemed to click well together. I'd be fine with it. I also like the balanced pairs idea, if it is done wisely. If you are going offensively minded with a stay at home pair, I don't think Kindl/Lashoff is a good idea unless it is in very sheltered minutes, and that is pushing it.

Unbe-*******-lievable... It was bad enough a few games ago when he was stuck down on the 4th line, but now with Franzen and Jurco out of the lineup, he's still down there?... f*** Off Babcock! Did he hit on his wife or daughter or something? What the f*** did he do?... I get that he hasn't been great the past couple games but you're not going to get him going down on the forth line. Give him some linemates that can help him out for more than a game or two and see if he can put another string of games together again. Putting Weiss in the dog house while other guys (Franzen) continue to get a free pass, is ridiculous. If Franzen is out injured for 2 months, when he comes back, you can count on Babcock putting him on one of the top two lines, "to get him going"...
