You know what? I'm tired of people using "the pc police" as an excuse to continue to say s***ty things. It's not cool to be a racist. It's not cool to be a homophobe. It's not cool to use derogatory terms for special needs people. It's not people being "sensitive," it's people calling you out on your bulls***.

I'm offended be people being offended, words hurt you know. I'll be in my safe space if anyone needs me.

I can take a joke. Pretty much everything I do and say is either sarcasm or a joke. But there's certain things that just go too far. I'm not even remotely close to being the PC police, but certain "jokes" shouldn't be made. Main list includes, but is not limited to; Rape, abuse, special needs people and mocking people's children. I don't even mind some light racism against my nationality.

That may be the case in the end, but Frk is bigger and does play a heavier game than Pulk does. He won't be pushed off the puck as easily, which may give him a shot at sticking around.He also works his ass off and has the right attitude on always trying to be better. He is a guy who will always work on the flaws in his game.

I'm not so sure they're so comparable. Frk is bigger and can protect the puck better against bigger guys so his speed is less of an issue than Pulks. Plus I think he gets his shot off quicker, but that's just my assessment. Frk reminds me of a poor mans Vanek or Moulson. Both are slow, but big enough to play in high traffic areas.

I agree that Vatanen is a complimentary piece, and we need someone that is, or has a high probability of developing into a number one defenseman. aka Trouba. I got to say though, I find it odd that you throw the "midget" word out there, and then you call someone out today for using the word "retarded"... I do think the latter word may be more offensive, but only slightly. Both are derogatory...

Agreed, people think they can say whatever they want, and get pissed off when they are called out. The sad thing is, they truthfully dont comprehend that what they are saying hurts others. Then when someone calls them out on their BS they fall back on the "PC Police" argument. I admit that sometimes people can be overly sensitive now a days, but there there are certain things that cross a line, and comments related to racism, homophobia, and putting down people with special needs falls into that category.

They wouldn't need to. I realize this is a thread about our 50 man roster, but I wasn't just talking about who should be on that list. I'd prefer Miele not count toward our 50 man roster as well, since he's not a prospect, and he'll never play a game with the big club.

They're pretty quick to lock a thread going off topic, however I do look forward to the time when people stop caring about the name.

In the end, this is the summer to make a trade for a dman. Players will be available due to expansion draft next summer. Teams will be looking to get something for their players while they can. Trouba is the perfect target.

If anything we could use a couple more Abdelkader in the lineup. Having a guy like him on each of the top 3 lines opens up space for guys like Goose and Tats. Why do you think they've both had down years? They've been stuck playing together too much, giving the team an easy line to play against. That's why the line centered by Sheahan was much better with Jurco on it in the past.
