People said last game that whoever won that game will win the series, now this game too. I'm going out on a limb here and going to say whoever wins their 4th game of the series will win the series. We're up 2-1, it's far from over. Lots of work left to be done. Let's take a step tonight.

Apologies to Jersey Wing for using the same photo. I didn't notice it until I was done.

A great video on how the stats in the game are killing the role of the enforcer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jygko4bXH0I

I have a feeling well keep miele. Career top six ahlers arent a bad thing to have around, especially when you have so many skilled guys coming through. But I don't know the rules on two way contracts/contract limits and whether or not miele has given up on being an nhler, or if the wings ever have plans to bring him up. So if we're under the contract limit, signing him couldn't hurt.

Oh, honey. We never let things go. We still hate the Ducks for making a Homer sandwich in 2007 and Pronger (who isn't even with them any more) making excuses that he's 6'6" and can't control where his elbows go. "It's physics!" We still hate the Penguins because Crosby didn't shake hands at the end when they won in 2009, and we still remember that they got away with 36 seconds of too many men on the ice to win that Cup. Don't even get us started on the Turtle... We remember everything. Well, except for me. I can never remember where I left the remote... or what I came in the room for... or.... what was I typing?

Blashill's not a clone of Babcock. His teams can actually score at even strength.

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/21/hobey-baker-finalist-hyman-wont-sign-with-florida/ http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/zach-hyman/ Hyman and Dylan Larkin were so good together this season that I have to think Kenny will try very hard to land him.

Actually I think you are correct. I have a few friends at GM who could get plenty of free tickets thru company and just don't end up going. It always does seem like the upper bowl is packed and lower bowl upper half is but the first few row seats are empty (company seats probably). It always select seats that seem to be empty to be quiet honest.

We can only hope. Loved it the other night when they were chanting "Katey Perry" at Corey Perry.

Hate the guy in the ice but this goes to show you that most hockey players are just great persons of the ice. Man trying to play after receiving such news is mental toughness kudos Carcillo. Pro leagues really need to do a better job in preparing these guys for the life after hockey. Ask them to coach some minor leagues, get into GM stuff, become a player agent, analyst, inside..don'tforget them because they are retired.

I agree about the attempts. Injury should certainly factor in to the length of punishment but right now it plays way too big of a rule. If a guy is luckily enough not to get concussed (or if the symptoms of that concussion have not manifested themselves yet), that doesn't make the play that caused it less dangerous. It's why I think elbows and attempted elbows to the head should be punished severely. That's not a hockey play gone bad. It's a deliberate attempt at a headshot. I'm also surprised that the NHL doesn't have a more established support system for former hockey players. Most of these guys didn't go to college and even lived away from home as teenagers so they could play hockey. It's been the basis of their entire life. Whether you leave the game as a 27 year-old retiring due to concussions or a relatively healthy 40 year-old who just won the Stanley Cup, it has to be a massive adjustment.

He was also the Big Ten scoring champion.

Well that probably contributes to his ability to play with injuries. No brain..no pain. lol

I'm not sure how anyone can watch a game at the Joe and think it's not a tough place to play. Detroit has some of the best fans in sports.

Can't believe there's people here actually bashing Yzerman. So he didn't want to wait for Kenny to leave. Instead, he goes to Tampa, builds a good team and gets a 1st round pick for Kyle Quincey. You gotta love it.

Did you see the PS in this? His undershirt is red, hinting that he has a jersey on under it. I think.
