Didn't get off to a good start this season (first 20 games or so), but he's been great since then. 26 points in his last 30 games. 18 goals and 44 points in 68 games this season. I don't know if he's quite ready to be a real difference-maker at the NHL level, but he's more than earned this call-up.

They're still playing. I am still watching. Mraz in net, and Svechnikov is playing his first NHL game. LGRW!!!

Last game at the Joe for me personally. Loving it so far. It's more full than I expected. We look good too. Lots of puck control and trying to slow the game down.. looks completely different than the last game I saw. Haven't noticed svechnikov much though. Hopefully they give him more minutes the rest of the game.

Okay, that clears it up. I hadn't seen this when I quoted you. You should understand why I thought you meant me, though. You're post was right after my long one on Montreal. I did seem the most likely target. I thought it was an interesting angle to question whether the Wings' standards are really different and I put some time that post. I already explained the Montreal situation, read above; was in reference to the Montreal sarcasm in those 2-3 posts by people. I was engaged in the Roy point (even quoted you!) and talked about Fedorov a couple of times (quoted Rightwinger). Ya'll gotta relax. The stars and veterans will go anyways +/- 40.000 bucks is nothing for them, so who cares what the NHL thinks. Players want to go as does the NHLPA so the stars and veterans will be there.

For me, living in the UK, the Olympics is always a great occasion to see the best players in the world on free TV, with real excitement. Not next year. Shame. Get money on Russia probably.

I'm going on record............. Juuso Valimaki would be the best first round pick. He's a great 2 way d-man. 6'2" good skater nice shot and does not get rattled. Liljegren is a good player. But, I'm just not sold on him.

I feel like we are just going in circles, my point was that they were trying to do what they did between 2002 and 2008. If the kids became superstars like last time it would have worked, it didnt.

Made me laugh lol Tkachuk is a little s*** disturber for sure, but the drama has been great to watch and I want more. I love to see the big bad kings get all upset about this punk kid who won't back down. Even after all the grief they gave him about the elbow to the head, and coming over to intimidate him during the warmups, Tkachuk STILL throws a wild hit targeting Doughty lol. This kid is fearless. A real treasure. Have at em boy!
