    Tippet and Arizona part ways

Just because he doesn't get "wins" or his plays don't lead to "goals" or his d doesn't "stop pucks from going to the net" and his goalies don't "make saves" doesn't mean he is a bad coach.

Why AA played limited minutes is a thread in and of itself. The dude is flat out the only guy I turned on the set to watch most evenings. People complain about limited scoring last year and dude rides the pine for long stretches of time because he had to pay some sort of dues before getting playing minutes while Sheahan skates like he's done something. My biggest fear with Holland now is what will he screw up further before he leaves? I really don't want to see the trade he'd make. Just give us another losing season, get rid of Holland and we can start digging out.

According to Custance Holland is looking for a young D and AA is on the block. Of course it might just be Holland's way of saying I tried. Assuming he does make a move and trade a young forward, I'd look to trade them in this order: Svechnikov, because he hasn't shown what he can do in the NHL yet. AA, he's fast and dynamic but has a higher chance of not being a stud compared to the others. Mantha, because he's big and looks like a perinnieal 25-30 goal guy. Larkin, a potential#1 center who takes care of things on both ends. This doesn't mean I dislike any or don't believe they all have potential, but it takes assets to get assets, and we NEED a high end D. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

    Targets for the Wings

Please God, do not let us give away assets for Travis Hamonic.... he's not that good, I'd rather we go get Brendan Smith back. That's saying a lot because I was happy we moved him.

Defense is part of offense. A large part of the offensive struggles is a lack of guys on the blue line who can get the puck from the other team, make a good transition pass, join the rush and bury chances when they get them. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

In order to get Tippet we have to not have a coach. We have a coach. In order to not have a coach we need to fire him. Our coach isn't getting fired. Move along, nothing to see here.

Dude Larkin played with Zetterberg in his entire first season, not a very good argument. AA plays with way lesser linemates and carries his own weight offensively (played with Andersson in his first season at times). With the linemates Larkin had compared to AA, the fact that their PPG is that close makes Larkin actually look worse not to mention the minutes played per game isn't even considered.

You are right, it all depends on the offer. If I am an expansion team though, I am only making that trade if I am receiving the best player in the trade. I would'd trade for quantity if I am LV. I hope they do it though lol.

I really think it is as simple as this, like you say. I've been saying since the exposure that Holland probably knew there was a very slim chance Mrazek would get claimed after shopping him. So he used the opportunity to send a message to his team. Guys who work hard will be rewarded, guys who act like little dick birds will not.

I'd love to see Tippet in Detroit. He did pretty well with Dallas when he was there and got the Coyotes to the playoffs twice despite having very little talent on that roster. He always gets great play out of the goalie position too. Unfortunately, Blash isn't going anywhere anytime soon and I doubt Tippet would take a assistant coach position here.

I hope it´s true, we need some real top Sergachev/Theodore/Sanheim-like D prospect. And these are expensive.

Wings have several young forwards. No of their D prospects other than maybe Cholowski are looking like top pair guys. Smart asset management says trade from a surplus to fill a deficit. If AA, a second, and another prospect other than Svechnikov gets you a young top pair D, it's a good trade. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

It was likely a mixture of all things. Rewarding Howard, sending Mrazek a message, and knowing that Vegas wouldn't likely claim Mrazek

AA played sheltered minutes and this guy calls him the best player. Outstanding.

No he wasn't. Trashill went overboard reacting to his defensive issues but they're a legit concern, and more minutes doesn't mean he's going to have the same per 60 numbers, especially playing against better competition. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk I would too, and unless I'm getting a young guy who's already elite I wouldn't move more than one of them, but one of them plus other assets might bring back a young defenseman, and if you can do that you make the move. Forwards are a lot easier to identify in the draft and find in general than a good D. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Can we all agree to blow our lids when we miss Foo like how we blew up when we missed Suter? Might feel more normal around here.

Because there's just no way there couldn't have been right? I think Kenny made a deal with the Russians to hack the expansion

Osgood is tied 3rd all-time in goals at his position. It's baffling he isn't already in
